Button

Stable

The primitive for a single committed action. Six variants share one sizing and focus contract.

Server examples

Default, secondary, outline, ghost, link, and destructive, rendered as static markup with no client boundary.

Client examples

A disabled button exposes the disabled attribute and drops its accessible action from the tab order's activation path.

Accessibility notes

  • Icon-only buttons must carry an aria-label; the visible label is what screen readers announce otherwise.
  • Disabled buttons remain focusable-adjacent but must never silently swallow a required action. Explain why in adjacent text.
